Rev. James R. Otterness has been teaching a half hour bible study on local ABC, CBS, NBC television every Sunday for over thirty years. He has also appeared on Prime Time Christian Broadcasting which covers West Texas, New Mexico and Los Vegas. The bible studies consist of twenty-six inductive bible studies on "SIMPLE SECRETS OF THE KINGDOM". These studies are available on video and audio cassettes with written outlines to help teachers present the studies. The videos are good for use in adult bible studies. They last twenty-five minutes each which leaves time for discussion. Rev. Otterness has also written six inductive bible studies on the books of Romans, Galatians, Ephesians, Phillipians, Colossians, 1 Thesalonians, 1 John, James, and Revelation. These bible studies list an inductive outline of the scripture on the left facing page and an interpretation of the scripture on the right facing page. They are especially good for those who want to teach the meaning of the scripture or would like a better understanding of the written word. Otterness has learned inductive bible study from Dr. George Aus at Luther Seminary and from the writings of Traina, Kuist, and Adler. More studies are in the process of being written.
